Project 8 enters development

Project 8 began on 6 May 2025, with its direction set: a top-down PVE extraction shooter.

Extraction is one of the fastest-moving directions in the shooter category, but the games shipping now and shipping soon are still built around PVP — leaving real PVE demand largely unserved. The project took that road from day one: PVE first, with top-down, lightweight gunplay that keeps the barrier low.
